It is so helpful to have the Health Station as an option on the weekend when the regular clinic isn't open. Their staff is great and they are always helpful.
Skeptic about this quick clinic. The desk ladies are always nice. I've seen two practitioners. One time before today(I don't remember what for) she seemed very stuck up. But she treated me as needed. (I think it was an ear infection now that I think about it) The second I saw today was the only male. (I think there's 3-4 total practitioners that work there) I told him my symptoms, he checked my ears, nose, mouth. Asked if I had a flu shot. I said no. He was quick to answer with influenza. Never checked my chest congestion. Perscribed a very expensive medicine that will only help. No generic and name brand cost me $50 after insurance. (Generic brands cost me like $5?) I know it's a quick clinic but I feel rushed. I hope this medication works.
the clinic at walmart lies about the hours they keep. due to this, i am going to miss my flight to mexico. i get sinus infections once or twice every year. i know when i have one, i know when one is coming, and i know that there is only one medication that will cure it (for me)...Augmenton or amoxiclavul. earlier this afternoon i decided that i had better get to the clinic because i felt the sinus issues beginning. and in mexico, who knows what or where i would be treated with and if my insurance would cover it. i calledf the walmart clinic, got their hours...they stop admitting the last patient at 4:45 pm; i had the perfect amount of time to get there to be seen for probably a minute and then wait an hour and a half for their damn pharmacy to fill the prescription....but it would be well worth it. so, i got to the check in counter and the time was 4:44 pm the woman behind the counter acknowledged my presence and i was ready to go in to see the doc. then she said, "i'm sorry, we are not taking any more patients today". i became a bit upset. i let her know i called, got a confirmed hours of business from them, was there a hair before that, and the sign clearly said...last patient will be admitted at 4:45 pm. i held the sign up for her to let her know her hours. she told me they had two patients before me so they were just too busy. come back tomorrow. i asked her to get her boss and her bosses boss because they plane won't wait for me because they decided to shut service down too early. she then told me she would ask the doc if they could get me in, i thanked her and had high hopes, its a sinus infection, not a blood transfusion! the doc said no and to go to somerset to the stillwater medical group urgent care. ok great, no problem..............except they closed at 11:30 am! now i am furious! i called the hospitals woman in charge of issues like this, but she had left for the day. now wtf am i supposed to do? thanks a lot westfields hospital! you probably cost me my trip to mexico. i am just sick about this. my husband and son will be leaving at 6am as planned while i await the clinic to reopen at 11:30. then from there??????????????? airline says no way to changing the ticket because plane is full. so bummmmmbed!
Very disappointed with the experience.
